This letter is to introduce you to our band LIQUIDCRISTAL! We are a 5 - piece group that plays ROCK/POP covers. We make each song our own with our own twist and style, making each song fresh and fun for all in our audience. We pride ourselves on putting on a great show, and we always make sure that the audience has a memorable time whenever they see us. We have a mailing list and following on FB of 4,965 people, and we do whatever we can to promote ourselves at any club/venue/event and festival we play at.

The Band

Singer: Crystal Robitaille (LIQUIDCRISTAL)

Crystal has been singing  for several decades. She is a powerful singer with a wide range of vocal abilities. She grew up with Country/Pop & Rock influences that have inspired her to be the performer she is today!

 

She is a very Talented Vocalist with a Fun, Flirtatious, Vibrant & Outgoing Personality! She is Captivating & is a  Great Performer. Engages & connects with her audiences on many different levels, making sure everyone is enjoying the show.

Although Crystal has sang several styles of music throughout the decades, she has a dedicated passion for Rock to Metal genres.

Her personal influences are: Pink, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Halestorm, Fireflight, Skillet, Pat Benatar, Diamante, Ledger. Orianthi, Escape The Fate,, Eclipse, Smash Into Pieces, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack, My Darkest Days, Dirty Honey, Pop Evil, Sixx A.M. as well as all of your typical top-listed 80's to present bands and so many more

He has been playing guitar for 35 years.

 

He's a great, talented and solid guitarist!

He's the wild child of the group who knows how to get the audience pumped, on their feet and having a great time!

He's well versed in many genres of music but has mainly stuck with rock and metal bands.

 

He's played with T.D. (technical difficulties) for many years, Trigger, and Truth Be Known.

 

His personal influences are: Ozzy, Randy Rhodes, Zakk Wylde, Iron Maiden, Brad Paisley and so many more. 

Lead Guitarist/Rhythm : Derek Bucknell (Master Shredder)

He has been playing guitar for 35 years. He is an amazingly talented guitarist and with his Ibanez guitars he has certainly earned the nickname "Master Shredder". He is well versed in many genres of music but has mainly stuck with rock and metal bands.

 

Derek has been a part of several bands in the Barrie area for 25 years.

As a part of those bands, he has opened for the musical talents of Lee Aaron and Teenaged Head.

His personal music influences are: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Paul Gilbert.

Drums: Gavin Hayz

Having done live performances for well over 2 decades, Gavin is a driving force with his relentless highly energetic, hard hitting style, while bringing talent, skill, versatility and solid time keeping to the stage. Gavin is a true perfectionist and is also known as the human metronome!

He has played with Code Blue, Almost Abba, Lisa Carr, Klawz, Sidewinder, Retro, Electric Velvet, Hot For Teacher, , Good Fellas, and more up until 2008

He has also played with Hells Bells from 2002-2007 and has subbed in until 2019.

Although Gavin has played several styles of music, he has a dedicated passion for Rock to Metal genres. 

Gavin has opened for the likes of April Wine, Honeymoon Suite, Helix, Bif Naked, Julian Hart and more.

His major personal influences are: (in alphabetical order)  Tommy Aldridge, Gregg Bissonette, Bobby Blotzer, Denny Carmassi, Philip Crusner, Mickey Curry, Matt Frenette, James Kottak, Tommy Lee, Mike Portnoy, Phil Rudd, Neil Sanderson, Lars Ulrich and Mike Wengren.

Bass/Vocals : Chris Brown

Chris is a very talented, energetic, melodic bass player, with powerful/stellar vocals. He brings 3+ decades of live playing to our show. He is the foundation and  glue that holds us together. 

He has performed in venues across North America and Europe throughout his music career from small clubs to theatres, big stages, casinos and festivals with the likes of too many bands to list during his career from country to 80's hair metal. 

Chris has also opened for the likes of Nazareth, Quiet Riot, Edgar Winter, and pretty much every Canadian band that you can imagine, other than "The Guess Who".

His major influences are musicians from the Rock to Metal genres!

I had a chance to see LIQUIDCRISTAL at the ShineBrite Festival in Coldwater. The band was FUN, TIGHT and their energetic lead singer brings POWER VOCALS and a PLAYFUL interaction with the crowd.
